We are proud to announce that Amy Martin will be in San Francisco for the opening of the ‘McSweeney’s McMullens: Artwork from Children’s Books’ next week. Amy’s beautiful artwork will be exhibited in the main gallery alongside many other talented artists. 

The opening reception is from 4-8pm on Saturday, Dec 3rd, and the show will run through Jan 7th…. so if you’re in SF please come by and bring your the little ones too!

Illustrator Amy Martin will be reading from her debut children’s book, Symphony City, as well as previewing her next book on Wednesday, October 26th, at Ristretto Roasters in Portland, Oregon. Be sure to stop by!

Amy Martin’s poster for Band of Horses being auctioned as part of a Band of Horses Autographed Deluxe Version of Infinite Arms Album Plus Signed Poster to benefit the family of Andy Kotowicz, a marketing exec, A&R guru, and beloved member of the Sub Pop Records family and who died tragically in a car accident on October 21st.

Amy Martin is participating in Re:Form School, a group show running from Oct 9-11, 2010. The show is part of an event series and Redu project created to engage the creative community in a call to reform the American Public Education system.

RE:FORM SCHOOL will be open to the public, Saturday, October 9th, 2010 through Monday, October 11th, 2010 between the hours of 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and is located at 233 Mott Street, New York City, NY 10012.

This Sunday, October 3rd, at 3pm, the lovely and talented Amy Martin will speak on the panel at Green is Not The Only Color: The Sustainable Design Rainbow, presented by AIGA LA + The Pasadena Museum of California Art. The panelists will discuss sustainability in graphic design and the ways in which the “practice of green” is changing the face of the design community.

Amy Martin is both an illustrator and an art director, having done recent work for BCBG, McSweeney’s, Knock Knock, and The Walt Disney Company. She’s currently working on mobile phone apps for a Portland-based design firm. Check out her mention on the NYTimes blog!
